Biotensidon rhamnolipids are available in pure form or as supramolecular complexes comprising of rhamnolipids, pyoverdines and alginates. Due to economic reasons, the rhamnolipids’ degree of purity should meet the specific requirements of each respective application.
Compared to chemically produced surfactants, Rhamnolipid has better environmental compatibility, selectivity and specific activity at elevated temperatures, pH-value and salinity. In addition, it is biodegradable, non-toxic, does not cause allergies and is highly biocompatible.
